I'm a windows 10 user, whenever I open Microsoft Edge, it shuts down immediately. But what other problem is that after Microsoft Edge closes, automatically some random version of Google Chrome opens up with homepage as 'www.motious.com'.
I uninstalled the Google Chrome, but still it automatically this random version of Google Chrome opens up.
I installed the latest version of Google Chrome, but still again it opens only that random version of Google Chrome with homepage as 'www.motious.com'.
I don't know if the problem is with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, I don't even know if its a virus or a bug, but this is the issue which my PC is getting.
Other than this, why is my Microsoft Edge closing immediately?
Please help me out with this thing
My Chrome Shuts Down Automatically
Thank you.
Hi Darshak,
The corrupt Microsoft Edge Folder causes the crash. Since Microsoft Edge is a part of the Windows Operating System, it cannot be uninstalled. To reset Microsoft Edge, please follow the steps below :
Sims 4 cc top and bottom. Note: Please run the antivirus installed on your PC to scan for possible virus/malware infection, since your Google Chrome opens automatically.
Keep us posted.
Microsoft's release of Windows 10 build 10525 to members of the Windows Insiders Fast ring earlier this week ring caused some problems for users of the 64-bit version of Google's Chrome browser. The browser cannot load web pages and all tabs, extensions and plug-ins crash.
Google is aware of the issue, according to a post on the company's Chromium message board:
'We have the problem confirmed and someone is working on it, so additional 'me to' comments are a distraction at this point. Please just star the issue if you want to convey that you are affected, and if we have any questions or need additional feedback we'll post a comment.
Also, please remember that this kind of temporary breakage is expected for users on the Windows 10 fast ring. So, we definitely appreciate your assistance in tracking down these problems, but if you're not comfortable dealing with disruptions and workarounds, then the fast ring might not be for you.'
In the meantime, Windows 10 build 10525 users can download and install the 32-bit version of Chrome if they want to keep using it. They can also use a workaround that has been discovered to be successful for some users when running the 64-bit version of Chrome.
Temporary fix for Google Chrome 64-bit1. Right-click on Google Chrome's desktop shortcut and choose Properties2. In the Target input box add --no-sandbox at the end of the box, then click OK. It should look like text in the screen shot below. You may have to give administrator priviledges before the change takes.
Open Chrome and, it should work again on Windows 10 build 10525. You should notice a security warning near the top, which can be dismissed. The fix only works for Chrome 64-bit and not for Chrome Canary 64-bit.

The Chromebook appears off and if you press the power button it starts up, but as soon as it gets to the login screen the Chromebook turns off again.
Experienced with Samsung Chromebook 2
4 Steps totalStep 1: Cause
The Chromebook is suppose to turn on when the lid is opened. The Chromebook appears to sense the movement of the lid opening and when it does the Chromebook starts. If this is not sensed for some reason, it stays off and if you press the power button it shuts down immediately.
Step 2: Solution 1
Sometimes this can be fixed by opening the screen wider then pressing the power button
Step 3: Solution 2
If you open the Chromebook and it does not turn on then try lifting the back of the Chromebook to tilt it forward and try again
Step 4: Solution 3
If solution 2 doesn't work try picking up the Chromebook and try again at a steeper angle.

When shutting down Windows 8.1, Google Chrome produces the error message 'Google Chrome did not shutdown properly'. How can I get Chrome to shut down without giving me that error message?
I don't have to be logged in as a Google user.

There is another alternative, you just need to go to:
And uncheck the Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed option.
For now that is the best solution I have found that does not require you to delete your profile.

Received this error and found that the %LOCALAPPDATA%GoogleChromeUser DataDefaultPreferences file had the System, Hidden and Read-only bits set. Used attrib to remove them. The first opening of Google Chrome after stated the same message, but subsequent opening the issue was resolved.
On this system, it appears to have been caused by the installation of the Audible Manager from Audible.com.

In the section Users there is an option to 'Delete this user', click the button, confirm that you want to delete the user and presto, Chrome stops producing the error message when you start it.
This is a fix for people who wants to use the browser without a user profile. As a little note I have noticed that Chrome seems to be slightly slower booting, but for me it's well worth it to get rid of the error message.

Hi, upon opening Chrome, it closes right away, no time to go to settings or anything. Window up, window down. This started June 23, 2018.
IE works fine, but all my bookmarks are in Chrome. I updated Spybot, Malwarebytes and AVG, ran SB and MB in safe mode. Did system restore to 4 days ago, before the problems started. Did scannow… Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17134.112] (c) 2018 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:WINDOWSsystem32>sfc/scannow Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Nothing works.. Any ideas? Thanks. Comments are closed.
